My other favourite memory is of the fellow who hung out on the platform between the hydro poles at the foot of the parking lot. He never failed to be there when I walked the dogs. I had a particular whistle I used for the boys and one day as I was calling them back to me, I heard someone else whistling. I turned around to see if it was someone else walking their dogs, but saw no one. I leashed the boys and carried on with my walk around the building. At the back entrance near the pool, there he was sitting on the roof of the entrance porch. He was chatting away with all those lovely throaty noises so I clucked back to him. He repeated the sound. Needless to say, as time went on, he picked you on my vocabulary without any trouble, but try as I might I could not repeat any of his vocalizations.
